Ukraine`s public debt in March increases to $65.2 bln

Ukraine`s state and government-guaranteed debt in late March totaled $65.237 billion, which was higher by $887 million, or 1.4%, compared to late February.
Ukraine`s state and government-guaranteed debt estimated in the national currency in late March amounted to UAH 1.710 trillion, which was lower by UAH 30.558 billion, or 1.8%, as compared to late February, according to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry.
According to the data, since the beginning of the year (January-March), the total amount of Ukraine`s state and government-guaranteed debt estimated in U.S. dollars decreased by $268.9 million, or 0.4%, and that in the hryvnia equivalent increased by UAH 138.201 billion, or 7.9%.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the total amount of state and government-guaranteed debt as of late February amounted to $64.35 billion, which was lower by $1.16 billion, or 1.8%, compared to the beginning of the year.
Ukraine`s state and government-guaranteed debt estimated in the national currency as of late February amounted to UAH 1.741 trillion, which was higher by UAH 168.76 billion, or 10.7%, compared to the start of the year.
The Finance Ministry estimates the actual amount of public debt at the end of 2015 was within the admissible limits, envisaged by the 2015 state budget, accounting for 79% of the country`s GDP.
