Ukrainian Defense Minister, General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak has left for Sweden on his first visit to that country since Ukraine`s independence, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
During his visit to Stockholm General Poltorak will hold bilateral meetings with Minister of Defense of Sweden Peter Hultqvist and Chief of Defense Staff of Sweden, Lieutenant General Dennis Gyllensporre.
The parties will discuss the current security situation, development of cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and NATO after the Warsaw Summit, the current state of bilateral cooperation and its prospects.
The defense chiefs of Ukraine and Sweden are also expected to meet with media representatives.
