“We discussed the issues of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine. Already this year, we will implement all the recommendations of the European Commission regarding Ukraine’s acquisition of membership in the European Union. I believe that this work should receive a proper assessment from the European Union even before the next package within the framework of the enlargement policy is published,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The heads of state and governments of the European Union decided to grant Ukraine the status of a candidate country for EU membership on June 23, 2022.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured that despite the war waged by Russia, Ukraine would continue to implement the legislation, norms and rules of the European Union, and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will develop an appropriate road map to fulfill the requirements for joining the EU.
