Ukraine wants Russian officials to face Hague trial

Ukraine will ask the Hague Tribunal to investigate war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Russian officials.
The corresponding draft law has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada.
“In the current situation, it is appropriate to accept the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court to investigate these crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice … The draft law provides for accepting the ICC jurisdiction over crimes against humanity and war crimes have been committed in Ukraine since February 20, 2014 till the present time,” reads the explanatory note to the draft law.
