Ukraine, together with the NATO country, began to produce 122-mm shells

The press service of the Ukroboronprom informed on March 22, 2023, that Ukraine in cooperation with the NATO country established the production of 122-mm artillery projectiles abroad and has already managed to ship a batch to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This is already the third type of ammunition, which is manufactured using Ukrainian technology and narrow-profile specialists at foreign facilities.

“This is the third type of ammunition, after the 120-mm mortar mine and the 125-mm tank projectile, which is manufactured using Ukrainian technology and with the involvement of Ukrainian specialists at foreign facilities. The 122 mm calibre projectile is used by Ukrainian artillery when working with the D-30 towed howitzers (maximum range of attack – 15,400 m) and 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled guns (maximum range of attack – 15,200 m),” reported the press service of the Ukroboronprom.
