Ukraine to be in focus of Visegrad Four meeting with Eastern Partnership – media

Prague hosts a meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Visegrad Group (Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary) and the EU`s Eastern Partnership member states – Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Belarus on May 3-4.
As expected, the Donbas conflict and support for Ukraine reforms will be one of the priorities at the meeting of top dimplomats of a ”Four” and a ”Five,” who will later be joined by the invited guests – the foreign minister of Germany (OSCE Chairmanship), his counterpart from the Netherlands (currently chairing the EU) and Sweden (together with Poland, it is an initiator of the Eastern partnership program), RFE/RL reports.
In addition, the meeting will be attended by Johannes Hahn, the European Union Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement.
Ukraine in Prague will be represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin.
Visegrad Four, which turned 25 in February this year, is considered one of the most active regional entities within the European Union and a certain locomotive of support for Ukraine`s European integration. Moreover, it is the Visegrad Group as well as, the Baltic States and Sweden, which constantly keep on the radars of European foreign policy focused on the post-Soviet space and in particular on the five participants of the Eastern Partnership program.
