Ukraine suspends gas imports from Poland – Ukrtransgaz

Ukraine will suspend for two months the import of natural gas from Poland to perform schedule maintenance works, according to the head of PR department at Ukrtransgaz, Maksym Beliavskiy.
”The maintenance works are scheduled to begin in July-August 2016, in order to ensure the stable functioning of the gas transmission corridor during the heating season, including for preparation – secure accumulation of natural in gas storage facilities across Ukraine,” reads the statement.
It is noted that Slovak and Hungarian gas supply routes from Europe to Ukraine will be operating throughout the said period.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine resumed the import of natural gas from Hungary April 21.
