Due to increased shelling from Russia, Ukraine is strengthening the defense of the borders of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions to prevent a repeat attack from Russia.
“We have recorded an increase in shelling in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. At the same time, the defense forces of Ukraine and border guards are strengthening these directions in order to prevent a repeated invasion by units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.”
The spokesman also noted that the creation of a powerful group that could enter the territory of Ukraine is currently not fixed.
In addition, the defense of the borders with Belarus is being strengthened.
“Also, the border with the Republic of Belarus is being strengthened, because we understand that this country supports the Russian Federation in the war waged against Ukraine. And neither the Armed Forces nor the border guards have ever ruled out that the military units of this country could join Russia’s war.”
