Ukraine sees power exports grow by 9% since start of year

Ukraine boosted power exports by 9% in January-July 2016 compared with the same period in 2015 to 2,460 billion kWh, the press service of Ukraine`s Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry reported.

Power exports in July decreased by 40.3% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 271.3 million kWh.

As UNIAN reported earlier, power exports in Ukraine increased by 21.5% in January-June 2016 compared with the same period last year to 2.189 billion kWh.

Ukraine`s largest private energy holding DTEK, owned by Rinat Akhmetov, increased power exports in H1 2016 by 24.5% y-o-y to 2.178 billion kWh.

Memo. Ukrainian companies such as Rinat Akhmetov`s DTEK, Donbasenergo and Energy Resources of Ukraine (ERU) Trading sell Ukrainian electricity abroad.
