Ukraine sees 1.8% GDP growth in Q3 year-on-year

Ukraine`s GDP grew by 1.8% in the third quarter of 2016 year-on-year, against a 1.3% increase in the second quarter of 2016 compared to the same period of 2015, according to the State Statistics Service.

GDP in the third quarter of 2016 compared to the previous, second quarter of 2016, grew by 0.4% against a 0.6% increase in the second quarter compared to the first quarter.

The National Bank of Ukraine earlier announced its estimates of GDP growth in the third quarter of 2016, saying that GDP was 1.6% up on the third quarter of 2015.

As UNIAN reported, Ukraine`s GDP in the second quarter of 2016 increased by 0.6% from the first quarter of 2016, after a 0.7% decline in the first quarter of 2016 from the fourth quarter of 2015.

The State Statistics Service of Ukraine earlier reported that Ukraine saw a 1.3% increase in GDP in the second quarter of 2016 year-on-year, after a 0.1% year-on-year increase in the previous quarter.
