Ukraine resumes coal imports from Russia – Prodan

Ukraine has partially resumed coal imports from Russia after a one-week break.
Acting Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan said this on Monday.
“Imports of Russian coal are carried out with some problems. Some part of coal products is supplied, whereas the other is being delayed with no reason. Let’s say so: supplies are conducted irregularly,” Radio Liberty quoted him as saying.
He said that difficulties in coal supplies were experienced by state-owned company Centrenergo and private firm DTEK, which is controlled by businessman Rinat Akhmetov.
Prodan said on November 24 that coal supplies from Russia had been suspended.
