Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another eight were wounded in fighting in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, according to Oleksandr Motuzianyk, presidential spokesman for ATO issues.
”There were two killed in action (KIA) and eight wounded in action (WIA). These casualties occurred due to militant shelling from heavy weapons in the Donetsk sector,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday, a UNIAN correspondent reported.
As UNIAN reported earlier, combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 73 times in the past 24 hours.
