Two Mi-17 helicopters and two Mi-2 helicopters arrived at the Air Force of Ukraine in a partially disassembled form. Before delivery, the helicopters were painted, and one Mi-17 was overhauled.

The Air Force of Ukraine will start using the helicopters to perform tasks after their assembly is fully completed.

“Half a year ago, the Stinger systems donated by Latvia helped the Ukrainian army to contain the Russian invasion. Now, when Ukrainian soldiers are counterattacking in many places, our donated helicopters will help to conduct military operations and rescue. The support of Ukraine by Western countries should not stop until it frees all its territory from the Russian occupying forces,” Defense Minister Artis Pabriks emphasized.

At the same time, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine stated that 6 M109 howitzers are already in Ukraine.

“Another 6 M109 howitzers, which recently arrived in Ukraine from Latvia, are already showing results on the battlefield. I am sincerely grateful to my Latvian colleague Pabriks and the people of Latvia for their steadfast support. Together we will win!” Reznikov tweeted.

Latvia supplied Ukraine with weapons and personal equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, dry rations, ammunition, anti-tank weapons and Stinger anti-aircraft missiles worth more than 200 million euros.
