Ukraine received a record $4.6 bln in financial aid from foreign partners in August

The Minister of Finance of Ukraine said on the last day of August that Ukraine had received $4.6 billion in foreign aid, a record of such receipts in a month since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion.

Grant funds in the amount of $3 billion, recently provided by the United States through the World Bank, increased the total amount of foreign aid to Ukraine in August to $4.6 billion.

 “Ukraine expects to receive $1.5 billion in grant aid from the US in September, as well as macro-financial aid from the EU in September and early October (currently, EUR 1 billion has been allocated from a package totalling EUR 9 billion).”

Initially, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine expected receipts of $6 billion in August and $4.7 billion in September, compared with $1.7 billion in July and $4.4 billion in June.

According to the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, by the end of the year, Ukraine expects to receive about $30 billion in foreign aid since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, of which about $17 billion has already been received.
