Ukraine Gov`t approves priority action plan for 2016

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Friday has approved a plan of priority actions for 2016 which aims to ensure the recovery of Ukraine`s economy and enhance its growth.
”Now our task is to proceed with the implementation of the plan as soon as possible,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.
At the same time, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv stressed that the government`s plan provides for the implementation of the tax reform that will simplify the administration of value added tax, single social security contribution, and personal income tax. The plan also aims at simplifying custom procedures for agricultural exports, reducing the personnel of the State Fiscal Service to the level of 41,000 employees, liberalizing currency regulations and enhancing copyright protection.
In addition, the government`s plan of priority actions for 2016 will also focus on the privatization of Odesa Portside Chemical Plant and Centrenergo company.
”This is the first plan of actions of the government that has been developed with extensive involvement of the public and experts,” Economy Minister said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the current version of the priority action plan has over 200 pages and covers action plans of all the ministries and the central government agencies under a number of key areas, mainly of social and economic nature.
According to the plan, key macroeconomic indicators such as budget deficit and growth of industrial production have been defined at 3% by 2017 and 4%, respectively, in the mid-term outlook.
