“Today I spoke with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. I am glad that the first international conversation in the new year took place precisely with the head of the European Commission. We equally understand the challenges of this winter, this year for Ukraine and all of Europe. We discussed financial support for our state – already in January, we expect to receive the first tranche of the macro-finance, as was agreed last year. This is extremely important right now, when Russia is trying to gather new forces for aggression,” the President of Ukraine explained.

The head of state also informed that during the communication the parties discussed the preparation of the Ukraine-EU summit, which should take place in early February. According to the President, already during this summit, it will be possible to outline the key steps for joint stability and victory in 2023.
