Ukraine drafts documents calling for UN to deploy peacekeepers in Donbas

Volodymyr Yelchenko, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations has stated that Ukraine has prepared documents calling for the United Nations to send a peacekeeping force to the Donbas region, RBC-Ukraine reported.

The expert finds it unlikely that the police mission will be deployed in Donbas.

”We hope that the next UN Secretary-General will engage more seriously,” Yelchenko said

Earlier, the Ukrainian President stated that the European Parliament called for the deployment of an EU peacekeeping mission to ensure security in Donbas.
