Ukraine asks IMF to change loan tranches schedule

Ukraine has asked the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to change the schedule for further revisions of the program within the Enhanced Financing Facility (EFF) and the next loan tranches receipt, according to the relevant Requests for Rephasing of Access included in the agenda of the IMF`s Executive Board meeting to be held on April 3 and posted on the IMF`s website.

According to the agenda, Ukraine also requested a review of financial guarantees under the program, the so-called Financing Assurances Review.

As UNIAN reported, the International Monetary Fund, which previously postponed its Executive Board meeting on the allocation of another $1 billion bailout tranche for Ukraine, would consider the issue of continuing cooperation with Kyiv as early as April 3.

According to Ukraine`s Finance Ministry, the delay was related to the need to update macroeconomic indicators after the introduction of a trade blockade of the occupied areas in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The measure was introduced in keeping with a decision taken by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
