As noted, Ukraine and Moldova have signed a bilateral protocol, which will finally relieve Ukraine of the risks of stopping exports. Before the signing of the agreement, Moldova remained the only neighboring country of Ukraine with which freight transportation was not liberalized.
“This is the last step towards cancelling the permit regime with all neighboring countries. After signing the “transport visa-free” with the European Union, Moldova remained the only country on our borders with which cargo transportation was not liberalized.”
According to the Minister, the signing of the bilateral protocol eliminates the risk of stopping the export of Ukrainian goods. He said that last year the total turnover between the countries increased by almost a third. And due to Russia’s blockade of Ukrainian ports, this direction has become even more important for Ukrainian cargo.
Mustafa Nayem noted that, according to the ministry’s calculations, the flow of cargo can grow by 10 million tons every year.
