UK envoy to Ukraine: Change to e-declaration rules serious step back

British Ambassador to Ukraine Judith Gough has said the decision that obliges representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to file e-declarations is a serious step back.

”Changes to e-declarations law a serious step back. [They] could limit NGOs capacity, expose them to pressure and affect reform. [This] needs urgent review,” Gough wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Ukraine`s Verkhovna Rada on March 23 adopted draft law No. 6172 to amend Article 3 of the Law of Ukraine ”On the Prevention of Corruption,” requiring envoys of NGOs to file e-declarations, while relieving some groups of servicemen of this obligation.
