Turchynov leaves for anti-terrorist operation zone

Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov left for the area of the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas on Saturday, January 3, the council’s press service has reported.
“The main task of the visit is to check the implementation of anti-terrorism measures on blocking the possibility of a breakthrough by sabotage and terrorist groups deep into Ukraine,” reads the statement.
In addition, Turchynov will check the readiness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the National Guard to respond to aggressive manifestations of Russian terrorist groups.
“Special attention will be paid to the issue of the introduction of a strict regime of control over the movement of citizens and goods and in the ATO zone,” the press service said.
