Trilateral contact group to meet in Minsk at 16.00

A meeting of the trilateral contact group, which is scheduled for Wednesday in Minsk, will begin at 16.00.
Deputy Head of Ukraine’s Presidential Administration for International Relations Valeriy Chaly said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“I have just contacted representatives who flew to Minsk. They are ready and are planning to start the meeting at about 16.00,” he said.
According to Chaly, Ukraine will traditionally be represented at the talks by former President Leonid Kuchma, and Russia will be represented by Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov.
“It’s very important for us to solve the issue of the exchange and release of prisoners. Obviously, this is also the issue of the ceasefire and retreat to the line of contact, which is clearly stipulated in the Minsk memorandum,” he said.
