“The United States is proud to support EBRD in its vital role, and in assisting the Government of Ukraine in bolstering Ukraine’s private sector — positively impacting the lives of Ukrainians.”

Funding will be targeted at trade finance to support the flow of essential goods, ensure food and energy security, provide emergency liquidity to small businesses, pharmaceutical companies and vital transport companies, as well as to enable Ukrainian municipalities to maintain essential public services for citizens.

It is crucial that the EBRD aims to guarantee food security through substantial support to the Ukrainian agricultural sector in the field of sowing, crop care, harvesting and food supply.

The funding will also be used to help refugees in neighboring countries and to help municipalities that host them.
