Russian Telegram channels reported on August 14, 2022, about the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the headquarters of the Russian “Wagner” private military company in the occupied Popasna, in the Luhansk region (east of Ukraine), a photo of which was published the other day by the Russian military commander.

Telegram channels of ” Wagner” also confirm the strike.
On August 8, Russian military commander Serhii Sreda wrote about the visit of this “headquarters”. He published a post on Telegram, writing: “Arrived in Popasna, stopped by the headquarters of “Wagner”. I was met like a family member. They told me several funny stories.”
Sreda also took photos with them. One of the photos shows a sign with the address of the nearest bomb shelter — Myronivska Street, 12.

In one of the photos from Sreda, you can see the so-called “Putinʼs chef” Yevgen Prigozhin, who is considered to be the head of “Wagner PMC”. Propagandists claim that Prigozhin was not at the base at the time of the attack.

These photos infuriated many pro-Russian commentators, as one of them shows a sign with the address of the nearest bomb shelter – Myronivska Street, 12.
“Radio Svoboda” studied the pictures of the military police and came to the conclusion that the “Wagners” were indeed in the house on Myronivska Street.
Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazanskyi published a photo showing the wounded and dead being taken out from under the rubble. He thanked Sreda for the tip.
After information about the strike on Popasna, Serhii Sreda deleted his message about visiting the “headquarters”, but numerous copies of it remained on the network.
