“This decision is a strategic step in the process of Ukraine’s integration into the EU and will contribute to the implementation of the Solidarity Path initiative for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products and the delivery of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.”

In particular, the following changes have been made:

  • The North-Baltic Corridor has been extended through Lviv and Kyiv to Mariupol;
  • The Baltic-Black Sea – Aegean corridor is extended through Lviv, Chernivtsi (Romania and Moldova) to Odesa;
  • Baltic Sea – Adriatic Sea and Rhine – Danube corridors will pass through Lviv.

The press service explained that the inclusion of Ukrainian logistics routes in TEN-T will make it possible to eliminate existing obstacles during logistics operations, attract EU investments to modernize the transport infrastructure of Ukraine, to have access to European assistance tools for the development of our part of the network, to reduce the volume of logistics costs, improve the quality of goods transportation services and increase multimodal transportation.

In addition, the European Commission excluded Russian and Belarusian routes from the TEN-T network, and also lowered the status of routes in the EU at the junctions with these aggressor countries.
