The EU has introduced “solidarity corridors” for fuel supply to Ukraine

Ukraine is looking for ways to import fuel quickly to close the shortage caused by the destruction of oil refineries and fuel depots by Russian troops.

He discussed resolving the issue with European Council President Charles Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

“The European Union has introduced so-called ‘solidarity corridors’ for Ukraine. A similar tool worked during the pandemic in Europe when vaccines and medicines were delivered. The government is ready to do everything possible to allow businesses to import fuel.”

He assured that road and rail transport with fuel would be given absolute priority at checkpoints. Authorities are also negotiating other supply routes to expand logistics capabilities.
