Switzerland does not want to join EU sanctions

The Swiss authorities do not want to impose sanctions on Russia.
Swiss Economy Minister Johann Schneider-Ammann said this in an interview with the Schweiz am Sonntag newspaper.
According to the Swiss minister, on the “international arena” there should be a state that “does not support any of the parties to the conflict,” the Ukrainska Pravda online newspaper reported.
Schneider-Ammann also said that the EU sanctions imposed on Russia could affect most of Europe, including Switzerland. In particular, the Swiss economy will be impacted by a possible increase in tariffs on Russian energy.
As reported, the EU urged third countries to join sanctions against Russia. Norway has already said it could introduce sanctions against Russia.
