Several explosions at ammunition depot in Russian-occupied Crimea took place: video

On the morning of August 16, 2022, explosions were heard in the Dzhankoi district of Russian-occupied Crimea (south of Ukraine). There is information about a detonation at an ammunition warehouse in the village of Maiske.

Eyewitnesses report explosions in the Dzhankoi district of Crimea. Residents heard loud bangs and publish videos of the fire. Black smoke can be seen from various points.

The Crimea press clarified: “According to preliminary information, two incidents occurred in Dzhankoi district this morning: a fire at a transformer substation in Dzhankoi and a detonation at an ammunition warehouse in the village of Maiske.

One of the leaders of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, Refat Chubarov, wrote that from the temporarily occupied Crimea they reported a “hit on the military unit of Russians in the village of Qalay (now Azovske) of the Dzhankoi district”, but at 07:41 a.m. he updated the post that “an ammunition depot was hit, the sounds of explosions roll far across the steppe.”

The so-called “head of Crimea” Serhii Aksyonov left for the village of Maiske.
