Several dozen prisoners could be released this week – SBU

Several more dozen people could be released from terrorist captivity in Donbas this week.
The head of the central investigation department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Vasyl Vovk, told this to the Ukrainska Pravda online newspaper.
“This week, at least, we are planning to release several more dozen people. We know that they have another 200-250 people [from the general list], so the process will last continuously. In the end, I think we will release all [prisoners], because the world is pressurizing Russia, and it found itself was in isolation,” Vovk said.
He said that over 1,500 people unaccounted for were in SBU’s general database and 684 more were on the list of hostages.
As reported, one of the leaders of Donetsk terrorists, Denis Pushylin, said that another exchange of prisoners between the Ukrainian side and DPR militants could take place in mid-January.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko at a meeting with the heads of security agencies on Sunday instructed them to intensify work on the release of law enforcement officers held in Donbas and to strengthen controls at border crossing points.
