Savchenko’s party fellows try to influence Putin through PACE and Merkel

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted two resolutions on the appeal for the release of Nadia Savchenko from Russian prison.
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, one appeal “regarding the release of MP of the eighth convocation Nadia Savchenko who is illegally detained in the Russian Federation,” is addressed to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The second appeal will be forwarded to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
According to leader of the Batkyvshchina faction Yulia Tymoshenko, currently Savchenko “is in the critical condition, she is on the verge of life.”
“We want all leaders of the world, all international organizations that may affect Putin, to join us immediately, because every hour counts,” Tymoshenko said.
She also said that Savchenko reject injections and does not listen to calls to stop starvation.
