Satellite images confirmed that Russia had lost 9 warplanes at the airbase in occupied Crimea

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that Russia lost 9 military planes at the Saky airfield in the Russian-occupied Crimea (south of Ukraine) on August 9, 2022.

“In just one day, the Russians have lost ten combat aircraft: nine in Crimea and one more in the direction of Zaporizhzhia (south-eastern Ukraine). The occupiers also have new losses of armored vehicles, warehouses with ammunition, logistical routes.”

At the same time, “Schemy” published photos of the Planet Labs service from the airbase near Novofedorivka in Russian-occupied Crimea.

The photo shows the affected areas where 9 planes were stationed before the explosions. Among them are Su-30SM type fighters and Su-24M bombers.

In the morning, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that over the past day, the Russian army had lost 9 aircraft in the war against Ukraine. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also reported the destruction of about 10 planes as a result of explosions at the Saky airfield in Crimea.
