Russians attacked Kyiv with drones, civil infrastructure was damaged

The mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychko informed on March 28, 2023, that explosions were heard during the air alarm, previously in the Obolonskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts of Kyiv.

“Explosions in the capital, previously in the Obolonskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts. All services follow in place. In Sviatoshynskyi district, a shop is on fire. We are clarifying the information about the victims,” wrote the mayor of Kyiv.

According to Vitaliy Klychko, as of 00:46 a.m., the fire in the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv has been contained. There were no victims.

Later, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration clarified that air defense forces shot down all the drones the Russian army used to attack Kyiv. The fire in the Sviatoshynskyi district was caused by the falling debris of a downed UAV.

“Information update regarding the Shahed loitering munitions attack on the capital. In total, 12 Russian UAVs of this type were detected and destroyed by all air defense forces in the Kyiv airspace area!” Reported the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
