“Russian troops managed to mine about 680,000 hectares in the part of the Kherson region that was liberated last year. This is only based on rough estimates. Another 200,000 hectares are mined areas of the Mykolaiv region,” General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi emphasized.

According to the commander of the operational and strategic group of troops “Tavria”, after the liberation of territories, Ukrainian specialists immediately begin cleaning them of explosives.

“Specialists of the Defense Forces of Ukraine risk their lives every moment to make the liberated territories of Ukraine safe again. This makes us radically different from the enemy [Russian army – ed.],” added Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.
