Russian troops launch missile strikes on critical infrastructure of Kharkiv

The Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Sinegubov noted that Russian soldiers attack the city of Kharkiv with S-300 missiles on January 14, 2023. Critical energy infrastructure was damaged.

The mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov noted that the Russian army was attacking the infrastructure.

“Morning shelling of Kharkiv. Previously, four S-300 missiles attacked the Industrialnyi District. They aimed at the infrastructure. We are clarifying the information about the victims and destruction,” wrote Igor Terekhov.

Later, Oleg Sinegubov confirmed the strikes on the Industrialnyi District of the city:

“Preliminarily, 2 “arrivals” of S-300 rockets have been recorded in the Industrialnyi District. Emergency services are working on the spot. The scale of the destruction and the presence of victims are being clarified. The Russian army struck our critical energy infrastructure, and industrial facilities in Kharkiv and Chuhuiv districts. Currently, the State Emergency Service and electricians are working on eliminating the consequences and stabilizing the electricity supply situation. In connection with these strikes, emergency shutdowns are possible in the city of Kharkiv and populated areas of the region,” added Oleg Sinegubov.
