Russian troops cannot advance in the south of Ukraine, – Operational Command “South”

Operational Command “South” noted on September 28, 2022, that the best option for Russian military was to surrender because they hadn’t possibilities to advance in Ukraine’s south. At the moment, they are holding to the lines of defense that they managed to set up earlier.

According to the Head of the Press Center of the Operational Command “South” Natalia Gumeniuk, it is about the construction of defensive lines using reinforced concrete structures.

“They [the army of the Russian Federation – ed.] cannot move forward. They use the lines of defense that they have arranged for themselves for a long time, in particular with the use of reinforced concrete structures, since it is an open surface, an endless steppe, where there is nothing to hide behind, and there are very few forests. Therefore, they use those fortifications that were built for a very long time, exclusively for defensive purposes. And they have nowhere to move forward in the Kherson region.”
