A Federation Council member has issued a comment regarding the possibility of new sanctions being introduced by the U.S. government against Russia.
”Trump needs to think three times before imposing new sanctions on Russia,” Federation Council member Alexey Pushkov tweeted.
The Russian official believes that in this case, the U.S. president will deserve the applause by Senator John McCain but at the same time ”blow up the last chance for a dialogue” with the Russian Federation.
Earlier, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Friday indicated a willingness to work with Democrats toward drafting new sanctions targeting Russia in response to Moscow`s unwavering support for Syrian President Bashar Assad.
