Russian military training in Crimea to seize strategic facilities in southern Ukraine – Intel

Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported that in the city of Dzhankoy in the territory of the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula, the Russian troops were involved in the drills working out the takeover of strategic facilities in the south of Ukraine.
”At the Dzhankoy airbase, the adversary has been working out a conventional seizure of strategic military / civilian facilities in the southern regions of Ukraine. During the tactical and special training of groups of the Russian special purposes (up to 30 people) simulated parachute deployment from helicopters with the task to capture and retain the conditional facilities,” reads the report.
”The enemy used wing-type parachute systems that allow landing at the selected point, including in low visibility and also with the use of a radio beacon,” the military intelligence says.
The Ukrainian officials claim that the location chosen for the drills corresponds to the physical and geographical conditions in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
