“Despite the help from Europe and the hysteria of Boris Johnson or Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, we will end the operation when we see it necessary. I think we will stop at the border with Poland, “said Petr Tolstoy.

According to the Russian parliamentarian, the “special operation” will end when Ukraine is completely “denazified” and “demilitarized.” After that, in his opinion, “it will no longer be possible to turn it into anti-Russia, as the West has been trying to do for the past 30 years.”

Petr Tolstoy is the great-great-grandson of the classic of Russian literature Leo Tolstoy. He is convinced that his support for the war in Ukraine is not a betrayal of the legacy of his famous ancestor.

“Leo Tolstoy was an officer in the Russian army. He killed the British and French in Crimea, in the Russian Crimea. When the fate of a country is in danger, our only concern is to support the country. I do not see any contradiction with the legacy of Leo Tolstoy.”
