“The occupiers are using the territory of the occupied Crimean peninsula for the forced transportation of Ukrainians from the newly occupied territories and zones of active combat and violent displacement and holding civilian hostages, prisoners of war, former military personnel, employees of local self-government and state bodies in the territory of the occupied Crimea,” she said.

According to Tasheva, it is currently difficult to estimate the number of Ukrainians who were forced to leave through the temporarily occupied Crimea or are still there, but she clarified that the human flow is intense.

At the same time, she reported that occupied Crimea is used as a hub for the illegal transportation of thousands of Ukrainian children.

“The occupation administrations are not interested in people from the mainland of Ukraine staying on the peninsula. The occupied Crimea is used exclusively for transit,” she concluded.
