Russia used cluster munitions in Ukraine – General Staff

Russia used cluster munitions in Ukraine and now wants to blame Ukraine for that.
A representative of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Major-General Oleksandr Rozmaznin, said this at a press conference in the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center, Ukrinform’s correspondent reports.
“The Russian Federation at one time, due to the intensification of actions after August 24, 2014, actively used Smerch artillery systems that fire cluster munitions,” Rozmaznin said.
He added that the 12th territorial defense battalion of Kyiv had been fired with such shells at that time.
Russia wants to cover up its crimes, so it is trying to accuse Ukraine, the general said.
He said that Ukraine has cluster munitions, emphasizing that “nobody received such ammunition from our artillery depots.”
