Russia threatens to respond to new US sanctions

Moscow will certainly respond in the event of introduction of new anti-Russian sanctions by Washington.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said, Interfax reports.
“Of course, we could not leave it unanswered,” the diplomat said.
According to Ryabkov, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov may raise a theme of the U.S. act to support Ukraine at the upcoming meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Rome, because Moscow sees in its making the attempts to impose unacceptable solutions.
“We, of course, are concerned about how the moods are formed on the Capitol Hill, and see in making of the said act by both Houses as another manifestation of anti-Russian sentiments and attempts to impose decisions, which are absolutely unacceptable for us. Therefore, I assume that the Minister Lavrov will discuss this issue with the Secretary of State,” the diplomat said.
December 11, the U.S. Senate approved the Ukraine Freedom Support Act. According to media reports, the bill allows the U.S. Administration to introduce new sanctions against Russian state-owned companies, including Gazprom and Rosoboronexport.
