Russia shelled infrastructure facilities and private houses in Ukraine’s capital: photos

The mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychko noted that Russian troops once again shelled objects of critical infrastructure and private houses in Kyiv on January 2, 2023. One civilian was injured.

“An explosion in the Desnianskyi District of Kyiv. All services follow in place. An injured 19-year-old man was hospitalized in the Desnianskyi District of the capital. As a result of the night shelling of the capital, energy infrastructure facilities were damaged. There are emergency power outages in the city. Accordingly, heat supply facilities have no electricity. The capital’s water supply is carried out as usual,” explained the mayor of Kyiv.

According to the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine, Russia fired 40 drones over Kyiv at night. 15 were destroyed over neighboring regions, 3 – in the Kyiv region, and 22 drones – over the capital.

Oleksiy Kuleba, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration also added that private houses were damaged as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on January 2, 2022.

“We are working to eliminate the consequences of a massive attack,” says Oleksiy Kuleba.
