Russia sends 65th ”humanitarian convoy” with weapon and ammo to Donbas

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has sent its 65th ”humanitarian convoy” to Donbas, the ministry`s press service reported.

”A truck convoy of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations with `humanitarian aid` for Donbas crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border,” reads the report.

The bulk of the cargo supposedly consists of children`s food kits and medications. The convoy broke in two parts before crossing the state border, one heading toward Donetsk border checkpoint and another – to the Matveyev Kurgan checkpoint.

Russia began the practice of deploying its ”humanitarian” convoys to occupied Donbas in August 2014.

Ukrainian customs and border officers have not been allowed to inspect the cargo. The Ukrainian side has long claimed it has proof that weapons, ammunition, anti-tank grenades have been transported along with humanitarian freight.
