Russia ready for not receiving Mistrals

Moscow is ready for any development of the situation as concerns the French helicopter carrier Mistral.
Deputy Head of the Military-Industrial Commission Oleg Bochkaryov told at the exhibition of the innovations of the Defense Ministry, opened in Alabino, near Moscow, Monday, the Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty informs.
“Either we receive them (helicopter carriers – Ed.), or France will return us money with fines,” he said.
The first helicopter carrier has to be supplied to Russia in October.
On August 1, the EU sanctions came into force against leading Russian banks, energy and defense sectors due to the role of Moscow in the escalation of a conflict in Ukraine’s east. They impose an embargo on import/export of the Russian arms and military materials, as well as duel purpose products.
