Russia not to change its policy towards Ukraine – Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said it is offensive that the West, through sanctions, is trying to make Russia change its policy towards Ukraine.
He said this during a joint press conference with his Belgian colleague, Didier Reynders, an Ukrinform correspondent in Moscow reported.
“Nobody gains anything from sanctions, neither those against whom sanctions are imposed, nor those who impose these sanctions. Perhaps, all parties sustain economic losses,” he said.
Lavrov also stated that Russia would not change its policy towards Ukraine.
“I can assure you that we will cope with the difficulties that resulted from unfriendly actions by the EU, the United States and a number of other countries. It’s a pity that Europeans, educated and enlightened people who know history, really hope that these sanctions will help achieve some constructive changes in Ukraine’s situation and are trying to put pressure on Russia,” he said.
