The Russian armed forces lost a third of their elite troops in Ukraine.

“We know for a fact that they lost 30 percent of their elite corps of paratroopers, marines, special forces – and officers and sergeants. I saw their personal documents – they were all 35 years old on average. That means 15 years were spent on their training – such rangers,” said Reznikov.

The Minister also spoke about the losses of Russian pilots.

“The number of Russian planes and helicopters shot down by our Armed Forces means that they have lost up to 1,000 pilots of various levels. And this means that the flying elite who are able to fly with maneuvers at night have been lost.”

For example, yesterday, new explosions rang out in the temporarily occupied Crimea – at the Russian air base near Simferopol and at an ammunition depot near Dzhankoi.
