Russia launched a rocket attack on Ukraine’s capital: photos

The mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychko noted that Russian troops shelled the capital of Ukraine on December 29, 2022. Several explosions were heard in Kyiv. Fragments of Russian missiles damaged private houses.

“Several explosions in the capital,” wrote the mayor of Kyiv.

Later, Vitaliy Klychko warned about possible power outages.

“So far, two people have been rescued from a damaged private house. Medics treated them on the spot and hospitalized them. Rescuers continue search and rescue operations. Rocket debris also damaged a car on one of the central streets of Kyiv. According to preliminary information, 3 civilians were injured, including a 14-year-old girl,” added the mayor of Kyiv.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration noted that debris from downed Russian rockets damaged two houses, an industrial enterprise, and a playground in 3 districts of Kyiv.

Later, Vitaliy Klychko reported about the number of downed Russian rockets.

“According to the preliminary information of the air defense forces of Ukraine, 15 Russian missiles were destroyed over Kyiv,” said the mayor of Kyiv.
