“There are about 300 houses that we will not be able to restore because of structural damage. What could be done now, we are doing, we are restoring residential buildings. All construction organizations have been involved. This is done at the expense of the city’s budget. There should be a project for each house. It is being developed,” explained the mayor of Kharkiv.

According to Igor Terekhov, 150,000 people were left homeless as a result of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The mayor noted that the Russian army damaged 109 schools, 110 kindergartens, and 53 medical institutions.

“It is impossible to calculate the damage now. The damages are enormous. We are restoring many houses, this includes roofs and repair work,” said Igor Terekhov.
