According to Medvedev, Russia can use nuclear weapons when its territory is attacked using nuclear weapons. And in the case of any other use of nuclear weapons against Russia or its allies.

The third case is if there is an encroachment on critical infrastructure, as a result of which Russia’s nuclear deterrent forces will be paralyzed.

And the fourth – in the case of an act of aggression against Russia or its allies, as a result of which the existence of the country would be threatened.
