Resistance movement in Russian-occupied Mariupol is intensifying

Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol noted on September 6, 2022, that explosions rang out in Russian-occupied Mariupol (east of Ukraine) the day before. It is noted that this is the work of a partisan movement that is getting stronger in the city.

The fact that Mariupol is in the deep rear of the enemy complicates the work of destroying Russian occupiers.

However, despite the fact that Mariupol is located far from the front line, there are already certain results. Yes, there are actions that occupiers cannot oppose, and this leads to the fact that the resistance is growing.

“It is necessary to play on the fears of occupiers. They are very afraid of the Ukrainian military.”

The partisans allegedly know where Russian mines are located, which can easily detonate. Therefore, Russian patrols are often “invited” to such places, but they do not always return.

According to the adviser of the mayor of Mariupol, such a scheme has already worked twice. However, the occupiers write that this is demining, but indicate a completely different location.

“Still to come. The resistance is growing and bringing the deoccupation of the city as close as it can, despite how difficult it is and with what sacrifices.”

The mayor’s adviser said that there were also losses among the partisan movement. Yes, in Mariupol, Russians arrested several members of the resistance movement, but people continue to fight.
